General Counseling

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. — Romans 15:14

Admonishing includes the ideas of warning and exhortation. This ministry is an integral and necessary part of the Christian life. The children of God must exhort one another. In addition, God instructs his people “…to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you” (I Th 5:12). This implies that the overseers of the churches must be qualified to counsel the Lord’s people. Accordingly, Pastor Rogers offers this ministry on an as-needed basis. Couples Counseling

As part of a general counseling ministry, Pastor Rogers teaches a Couples Communication class. The format of this class can be for a group of couples, or for an individual couple. For a group, four 2-hour session are required. For an individual couple, six 50-minute sessions will be scheduled. Please see the Interpersonal Communication Programs, Inc. (ICP) web site (http://www.couplecommunication.com/) for details of the content of this course. Pastor Rogers adapts the material to emphasize the Biblical basis for the principles taught. Although this class is designed for couples, it is beneficial to individuals, too. Contact the pastor to schedule this class on an as-needed basis.
